About the technology
What is Lenire® and how does it work?
Lenire® is a non-invasive, CE-certified tinnitus treatment device, approved for safe use at home under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional.
This innovative device uses dual-mode neuromodulation to reduce tinnitus symptoms. It delivers customised sound therapy through wireless headphones while gently stimulating the tongue with mild electrical pulses via its Tonguetip®. Working together, these signals retrain the brain’s response to tinnitus by promoting adaptive neuroplasticity, helping to reduce the perception of tinnitus over time.
A key benefit of Lenire® therapy is its convenience. Designed for home use, the treatment typically involves just two 30-minute sessions per day for a minimum of 10 weeks, making it easy to fit around your daily routine while supporting long-term relief from tinnitus.
About the technology
How effective is the treatment?
Lenire® has been extensively tested in large-scale clinical trials involving more than 600 participants, making it one of the most rigorously studied tinnitus treatments available. The results are highly encouraging:
-
86.2% of treatment-compliant patients reported an improvement in their Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI) scores after 12 weeks.
-
91% of participants maintained long-term benefits 12 months after treatment.
-
On average, patients experienced a 20.3-point reduction in THI scores, equal to a full grade improvement in tinnitus severity.
While Lenire® has shown excellent outcomes, it may not be suitable for everyone. That’s why it must be prescribed and overseen by a qualified audiologist.
At your tinnitus consultation, we’ll carry out a thorough assessment of your tinnitus and overall hearing health. From there, our expert audiologists will design a tailored Lenire® treatment plan to suit your needs. You’ll also be invited for regular follow-up appointments so we can track your progress, fine-tune your settings, and ensure you get the very best results.
